How do I make an appointment?

Do I need a GPs referral?

No. Osteopaths are known as Primary Healthcare professionals and are fully trained to identify symptoms that are not musculoskeletal and will tell you if you need to be seen by your GP. Some health insurance companies may however require a GP referral before claiming on the policy, please check with your provider.

Can I pay with credit/debit card?

Wireless card payment is planned for the near future, but currently I can only accept cash for payment.

How long will the treatment last?

It depends how complex your condition is but please allow 1 hour if it is your first appointment and 45 minutes for follow up appointments. This includes time to set up and take down the treatment table and taking/updating your case history notes.

How many treatments will I need?

This depends on the diagnosis of the condition, how long you have had it, general health and how you respond to treatment. It is likely that you will require a short course of treatment for all but the most simple of issues. I'll never prescribe a set number of treatments or "block book" sessions, but will do my best to estimate recovery time within the first one or two appointments.

Do I need to prepare anything before you arrive?
